AXA Advisors, LLC

Bryan K. Merillat, MBA, ChFC

Hello and welcome to my web site.  I believe you'll find it to be a valuable educational resource.  You can also contact me to set up an appointment via the appointment sign-up along the left column.

Due to my integrity and involvement in the community,  I was asked in late 2007 by both the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Chelsea Senior Center to consider a position on each of their respective Boards of Directors.  I was honored to accept both positions and am excited about bringing my services to such worthy organizations.  I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus council #6223, as well as a member of NAIFA and the National Association for Insurance and Financial Advisors.

My passion is in building lasting relationships with my clients and helping them to accumulate, manage, protect and efficiently transfer their assets in accordance with their goals.  My primary objective is to provide my clients with strategies that will ultimately help ensure they have control and options for their financial future.  I often say that I have the best career in the world -- Where else can you spend a couple of hours with an individual / family once or twice a year and make as big an impact on their future and their families' future?

To assist my clients with the appropriate advice specific to each individual's situation, I continue to further my education and remain true to providing an "educated approach to financial decisions."  In times like this, I feel it's imperative that an advisor have both the experience and education to assist clients with strategies to help them achieve their goals.

I received my undergraduate B.B.A. in Management from Adrian College in 1989, and during my senior year helped lead the Bulldogs to an MIAA Championship and NCAA playoff berth in football.  I began my financial services career with AXA Advisors, LLC in 1999 after 10 years in management positions.  In 2001, I received my M.B.A. from Eastern Michigan University.  In late 2007, I completed a comprehensive curriculum through The American College for my Chartered Financial Consultant, (ChFC), designation.

My wife Cheryl and I live in the Chelsea area and have three children.  Ryan graduated from Michigan State University and is working at Boston University in a research lab, Rachel is a senior at Central Michigan University and Julie is our sweet little 5 year old.
